What a great afternoon it turned out to be. The Western Hotel in Guelph was hopping. Greg Denton’s Probable Cause Acoustic Trio added a couple of extra musicians to the roster. The folk/americana music they provided was a perfect fit for the novel and the venue.
I had been suffering from laryngitis for the past couple of days and had no voice at the start of the day. But, good fortune found it for me by the time I needed to use it. At first it was my inner Kermit that emerged but once I got going, a raspy version of myself took over to carry me through.
I was so pleased to see so many come out to offer their support – especially with all of the crazy weather the day brought with it. I can’t wait to share the pictures Meaghan Eady took of the event.
My only regret was that my editor and publisher, Marian Thorpe of Arboretum Press was out of country and, therefore, unable to attend.
